About Me
Benjamin Foster
After working about five years in Healthcare IT, I saved up enough money to finally pursue my real passion: video games. My undergrad degree is a CIS major with a focus in Web Design and Programming Applications, but I've wanted to get into video games for a long time. Because of my background, I thought the only route for me into it was programming. This was where I discovered Level Design, and the joy it brought me!
My first encounter of really paying attention to level design, was through Bloodborne and the Dark Souls Series. I loved the shortcuts, and how interconnected all the levels were to each other. I then decided this would be my path into the video game industry.
I applied and got into the Master's program at FIEA(Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy) at UCF, and have been making levels ever since! I enjoy the broad range of tools you get to touch, all the different areas of focus you can experience, and of course the creativity that comes along with level design.
